Introduction 0:06 Hello! A connected charging station can be operated remotely. Let's see how to start or stop a charge, reserve a connector, and reboot a station, without travelling. Acting on a connector 0:17 In “Charging Stations”, expand a station. Each connector has its own buttons, which change with its state. Here, connector A is charging a van; B is available. 0:29 To stop a charge: “Stop”, then “Stop the session”. The order goes to the station, which closes the session: the energy is counted and billed. 0:41 The charge is over, but the cable is still plugged in. If it stays stuck in the socket: “Unlock”. The station releases the connector. 0:51 To start on behalf of a driver: “Start”, then type their badge number. Chargekeeper immediately checks that it is authorised on this station, and with which tariff. 1:02 “Start session”: the badge is authorised, the order is sent, then the station declares the session. The connector starts charging. 1:13 To keep a connector free: “Reserve now”. Choose the user, their badge, and the duration, from ten minutes to two hours. 1:26 The station confirms: the connector is “Reserved” for this badge. A new button appears: “Cancel reservation”. 1:35 One click on “Cancel reservation”, a confirmation, and the connector is available to everyone again. Acting on the whole station 1:43 The station menu, for its part, acts on the whole station: reboot, clear its authorisation cache, set it available or unavailable. 1:54 “Reboot” offers two types. “Safe”, recommended: ongoing charges are stopped cleanly and billed, then the station restarts its software. “Forced” restarts the hardware: it is the last resort. 2:10 The station disconnects while it reboots: the ongoing charge was first stopped and billed. A few seconds later, it comes back: “Connected”. 2:22 “Set Unavailable” takes all its connectors out of service, for example during maintenance work: no charge can start any more. 2:32 Once the work is done, “Set Available” puts them back in service. 2:38 Finally, “Clear cache”: the station forgets the badges it kept in memory, and will ask Chargekeeper again. Useful after deactivating a badge. Key takeaways 2:52 Remember: each connector has its buttons, depending on its state. The station menu acts on the whole station. And every order goes to the station, which accepts or rejects it. 3:04 In the next video: maintenance, firmware and diagnostics of a charging station.
